AMHERST, Mass. -- No. 1 seed Trinity College knocked off No. 8 Bates Saturday in the quarterfinal round of the 2024 NESCAC Men's Squash Championships as the Bantams advance with a 9-0 defeat of the Bobcats.
Trinity (15-0) recorded a clean sweep through the Bates lineup as the Bantams won each match by a 3-0 score.
The Bantams now take on No. 4 Colby in Sunday's semifinals (12 pm), which defeated tournament host and No. 5 seed Amherst, 5-4. No. 2 seed Williams College takes on No. 3 Tufts in the other semifinal match (9 am).
Bates, at 3-13 on the year, now looks ahead to the College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships, Feb. 15-18, in Philadelphia (Arlen Specter Center).
