Sean Resnick took second out of 17 competitors as the Bates men's golf team finished in second place at the CBB Championship, held Sunday at Waterville Country Club.
The Bobcats finished 18 over par as a team, six strokes back of first-place Bowdoin and six strokes ahead of third-place Colby.
Resnick (Walpole, Mass.) shot a two-over-par 72 to pace the Bobcats, finishing just one stroke back of medalist honors. He finished his round with 13 pars and two birdies.
Sophomore
Charlie Weinman (Rye, N.Y.) tied for third place with a 73, one stroke behind Resnick. Weinman finished his round with five birdies and six pars. Sophomore
Arthur Jenkins (Shreveport, La.) also finished in the top 10, tying for seventh place with a 75. Jenkins finished with 11 pars and two birdies.
The Bobcats are back in action next Saturday and Sunday when they compete in the Skidmore Invitational at Saratoga Spa State Park.
