Freddie Curtis finished tied for 49th place out of 113 competitors to pace the Bates men's golf team at the Williams Invitational, held Saturday and Sunday at Taconic Golf Club.
Curtis (Harvard, Mass.) shot a 77 on Saturday and a 78 on Sunday to finish 13 over par, just five strokes back of a top-25 showing. He recorded a pair of birdies and 21 pars over the course of two days. As a team, the Bobcats finished in 18th place out of 22 schools with a two-day combined score of 632.

Will Phillips (Portland, Ore.) finished just one stroke back of Curtis, shooting a 79 and a 77 respectively.Â
The Bobcats are back in action this Saturday and Sunday when they head to Brunswick Golf Club to compete in the Bowdoin Invitational.
