Graff Selected Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Year, Daulerio Honored on All-Rookie Team

LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates College senior guard Meghan Graff has been chosen as the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) 2023 Player of the Year, while first-year center, Elsa Daulerio, earns a spot on the MWBCA All-Rookie Team, announced Friday by the organization.

Graff, a native of South Portland, Maine, led the state in scoring and was second in the NESCAC at 20.6 points per game. She was recognized as the MWBCA Player of the Week on four separate occasions during the 2022-2023 season. The all-time leader in program history with 1,645 career points, Meghan scored 495 points in 2022-23, the second-most in one season in Bates history.

The D3hoops.com preseason first team All-American, and 2021-22 NESCAC Player of the Year, Graff eclipsed the Bates women's basketball career scoring record back on Jan. 21 with a 44-point performance at Tufts, surpassing Emily King '00 (1,478 points), a mark that stood for 23 years.

Daulerio, a native of Harpswell, Maine, lands All-Rookie honors after leading the Bobcats with 42 blocks (4th in NESCAC) and 172 rebounds (10th in NESCAC) over 24 total appearances (five starts) for the garnet and white. Averaging 7.2 boards per game, the 6-3 force tallied 10 or more rebounds in a game on five occasions, including a career-high 13, on Dec. 31 in a win over Russell Sage College.

Elsa authored her first career double-double on Jan. 17 with 12 points and 11 rebounds in only 19 minutes in a victory at Univ. of Maine-Farmington.
