SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Men's golf junior
Freddie Curtis turned in the performance of his career on Sunday, shooting a one-under-par 71 to finish in a tie for ninth place out of 119 players at the Skidmore Invitational.
Curtis (Harvard, Mass.) birdied four holes on Sunday, including the 17th and 18th, finishing with a flourish and leading the Bobcats to a 12th-place finish out of 21 teams. His performance was just three strokes back of medalist honors in a big field.
Senior
John Kawakami (Northport, N.Y.) had the second lowest round of the day for the Bobcats, tying for 42nd place with a 75. He also tallied four birdies on the day.
Bates shot 302 as a team, just eight strokes back of a top-10 finish.
The Bobcats are back in action next Saturday and Sunday for the NEIGA Championship, held at The Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Mass.
