CANTON, N.Y. -- #14 Bates College extended its winning streak to five-straight Monday as the Bobcats secured a 5-4 triumph at #20 St. Lawrence University in men's squash action. 

The first-year duo from Greenwich, Conn., Ashton Monteiro and Chris Kenny, collected victories in the #4 and #5 positions for the garnet-and-white while Jairaj Singh (Sr.-Jaipur, Rajasthan, India), Garrett Wenberg (Jr.-Rye, N.Y.), and Sultan Hashmi (Sr.-Tiburon, Calif.) garnered wins at positions #7 through #9 for the 6-1 Bobcats.

Monteiro (8-11, 11-6, 11-4, 11-8), Kenny (5-11, 11-5, 11-5, 11-8), and Hashmi (3-11, 11-6, 11-9, 11-6) proved to be comeback kids in their respective matches as each dropped the first game of eventual 3-1 victories. Singh (11-8, 11-3, 11-6) and Wenberg (14-12, 12-10, 11-3) enjoyed 3-0 shutouts for the garnet and white.

The Bobcats look to make it six-in-a-row Tuesday with an 11:00 a.m. visit scheduled at #24 Hobart College in Geneva, N.Y.
