LEWISTON, Maine -- The Bates women's track and field team won four events and turned in a number of excellent performances at the Bates Invitational on Friday and Saturday, a non-scoring meet featuring athletes from NCAA Division I schools UMaine and Bryant, as well as Colby, Bowdoin and Thomas College.
Sophomore
Chrissy Aman (Hanover, N.H.) won the 800 meters in 2:27.21, her first time running the 800 at the collegiate level.
Juniors
Jordan Wilson (Medfield, Mass.) and
Jillian Richardson (Auburn, Maine) finished 1-2 in the 3,000 meters, with Wilson winning in a personal record time of 10:26.83.
Sophomores
Rebecca Anderson (Boone, N.C.) and
Isabel May (Erving, Mass.) finished 1-2 in the 5000 meters, with Anderson winning in 19:22.16.

Amanda Kaufman (Somers, Conn.), senior captain
Rebecca Willis (West Newbury, Mass.), senior
Mary Corcoran (Brookline, Mass.) and senior captain
Elise Lambert (Amherst, N.H.) defeated a team from the University of Maine to win the 4x400 relay in 4:10.92.
Junior
Lily D'Addario (Locust Valley, N.Y.) moved into eighth place on Bates' all-time performance list with a time of 8.23 seconds in the 60 meter dash prelims. She followed that up with a solid time of 8.29 seconds in the final.
Lambert set a new personal record in the 600 meters, placing second to a runner from D1 school Bryant with a time of 1:37.06. Lambert currently ranks second on Bates' all-time performance list in the event.
On Friday, multi athletes junior
Abbey Otterbein (Beverly, Mass.) and sophomore
Livia Kozick (Portsmouth, N.H.) competed in the pentathlon. Otterbein won the 800 meters in the pentathlon with a time of 2:37.10 and Kozick won the high jump by leaping 5' 1.25". Otterbein finished fifth out of nine competitors with 2571 points while Kozick placed sixth with 2505 points.
The Bobcats return to action Friday at the John Thomas Terrier Classic and then they compete next Saturday at the USM Invitational.
