CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Bates women's track and field team finished second behind host MIT and ahead of Southern Maine in a season opening tri-meet Saturday, winning five events along the way. The Bobcats scored 52 points on the afternoon.

Jordan Wilson (Medfield, Mass.) winning the race in 5:20.49. Junior
Ilana Zeilinger (Washington, D.C.) took home first place in the 3,000 meters with a personal record time of 10:54.03 as Bates took the top six spots in the event. Senior captain
Amanda Kaufman (Somers, Conn.) prevailed in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.19 seconds.

Lily D'Addario (Locust Valley, N.Y.) finished third in the first race of her collegiate career -- the 60 meter dash -- in 8.37 seconds.
The Bobcats host the Bates Invitational this Friday and Saturday at Merrill Gymnasium. Friday is the multi events starting at 4pm while Saturday will be the bulk of the meet, starting at 11am. Fans can watch the Bates Invitational on the
