Box Score MYSTIC, Conn. -- The Bates men's tennis team hit the road Sunday and swept the Connecticut College Camels 9-0 in NESCAC action. 

For the second straight day, the doubles team of senior captain Alex Kennedy (New York City) and first-year Alexander Gujarathi (Plymouth, Mass.) won their doubles match. After winning at No. 3 doubles against Tufts on Saturday, Kennedy and Gujarathi defeated Connecticut College's duo of Brian Gould and Aaron Fleishman by a count of 8-6 on Sunday.

The doubles team of sophomore Nick Forester (Falmouth, Maine) and first-year Nikesh Desai (Hopkinton, Mass.) also moved up a level to No. 1 doubles. After losing a tough tiebreaker on Saturday, Forester and Desai left no doubt on Sunday, winning 8-5 over Conn. College's Julian Tien and Zak Danz at the top of the ladder.

At No. 3 doubles, sophomore Cameron Kania (Middlefield, Conn.) teamed with first-year Thorne Kieffer (Portland, Maine) to win easily over David Poudrier and Sean Jenkins by a count of 8-3.

Five of the six doubles players played at singles for Bates as well. Forester won at the No. 1 position over Tien in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. Kania and Gujarathi won in straight sets as well at No. 2 and 3 singles respectively.

Sophomore Teddy Koide (Morristown, N.J.) played at No. 4 singles and rallied to win in three sets. After dropping the first set 1-6, Koide turned the tables on Fleishman with a 6-2 win in the second set. In the third set tirebreaker, Koide rolled to a 10-3 win.

Desai and Kennedy won at No. 5 and 6 singles in straight sets to round out the scoring for the Bobcats in the clean sweep of the Camels.

Bates is back in action next Sunday when the Bobcats welcome the Colby College Mules to the Wallach Tennis Center.
