Bates (10-10) swept five of the six matches they won against the Saints (3-12) in the quarterfinal matchup. With the win the Bobcats advance to play #18 Bowdoin in the semifinals Saturday at 11:30 a.m. 

The Bobcats got strong play at the top once again with first-years Kristyna Alexova (Boskovice, Czech Republic) and Vicky Arjoon (Georgetown, Guyana) picking up victories. Alexova swept Jillian Banker 3-0 (11-7, 11-9, 11-7) and Arjoon took her match with Emily Terry 3-1 (11-6, 8-11, 11-8, 11-5). 

Meanwhile co-captains Lauren Williams '16 (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) and Charlotte Cabot '17 (Dover, Mass.) picked up victories at the No. 4 and No. 5 positions respectively. Williams won her match 3-0 (11-5, 11-2, 11-7) and Cabot knocked off Alexandra Matamoros 3-0 (11-2, 11-6, 11-6).

Bates displayed their depth with Molly Brooks '19 (Charlottesville, Va.) and Blair Weintraub '18 (New York, N.Y.) sweeping Losangela Batista and Allie Brazo at the No. 7 and No. 8 positions.
