WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Senior co-captain Mike Boornazian scored 12 points, hauled in a game-high 11 rebounds and dished out a team-high five assists in his final collegiate game but the Bates men's basketball team fell to Williams 84-64 Sunday afternoon.

The loss marks the end of the 2015-2016 season for Bates (10-14, 2-8 NESCAC).

Boornazian '16 (Portland, Conn.) finishes his collegiate career with 1,367 points, ninth most in program history.

Marcus Delpeche '17 (Wilmington, Del.) led the Bobcats on Sunday with 14 points on 6-9 shooting. He also contributed three rebounds and three steals. Shawn Strickland '18 (Middletown, Conn.) chipped in 11 points and four rebounds. Meanwhile Max Eaton '17 (St. Petersburg, Fla.) scored 11 points off the bench on 4-6 shooting. He knocked down a trio of three-pointers on five attempts from deep.

Bates got the first bucket of the game on a Strickland jumper. But Daniel Aronowitz tied things up with a jumper of his own and followed that up with a three-pointer to give the Ephs (15-9, 5-5 NESCAC) the lead for good.

Aronowitz finished with a game-high 21 points on 7-14 shooting.

Both teams shot the ball well from the field. Williams finished the game shooting 53.7% while the Bobcats shot 42.1% on the day. The difference in the game was the Ephs hitting 14 threes on 22 attempts while Bates only hit 6-22 from deep.

After a 19-5 run by Williams to start the game, Bates battled the Ephs to a standstill for the remainder of the first half. A Marcus Delpeche dunk at the end of the half sent the teams into the break with Williams up 38-25.

A 14-7 run to start the second half put the Ephs up 20 and Bates played them even after that down the stretch.

Boornazian scored the final bucket of his career on a layup with 1:20 remaining in the contest. Co-captain Mike Newton '16 (Chapel Hill, N.C.) also played the final game of his career on Sunday and finished with four points and an assist off the bench.
