Nowak went 5-10 at the plate and hit his first home run of the season in a 3-0 week for the Bobcats. Nowak's two-run shot on Sunday put Bates ahead for good in the series finale against Skidmore. He also smacked a pair of doubles and drove in three runs in the three-game sweep. Nowak caught Sam Hough's first career nine-inning complete game on Sunday.
