Bates College

In his first collegiate track meet, Hoffman won the 3K with a time of 8:36.95 at the Bates Invitational. His time was 5.2 seconds ahead of his nearest competition, and first out of 34 runners overall. The Bobcats took the top seven spots in the event.

Hoffman's performance helped the Bobcats finish in second place overall, and first among Division III schools at the meet.
