HADLEY, Mass. -- Bates men's soccer sophomore midfielder Will Stillman is the NESCAC Player of the Week, as announced Monday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.

Stillman (Windsor, Conn.) scored his first collegiate goal at the perfect time, finding the back of the net in the 84th minute to propel Bates to a 1-0 road win over Wesleyan on Saturday. It's the first NESCAC victory of the young season for the Bobcats and their first over the Cardinals since 2019.

Stillman is the first Bates men's soccer player to earn NESCAC Player of the Week honors since Rex Lane '25 in 2021.

Bates (3-2-1, 1-1-1 NESCAC) returns to action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. when the Bobcats host Maine Maritime Academy at Russell Street Field.
