Defense impresses in men’s soccer’s 0-0 draw with No. 23 Conn. College

Bates kept the Camels off the scoreboard for the first time since 2012

NEW LONDON, Conn. – Bates men's soccer traveled to No. 23 nationally ranked Connecticut College on Saturday afternoon and earned a NESCAC point with a scoreless draw against the Camels.

Bates (4-4-2, 1-3-2 NESCAC) held the Camels scoreless for the first time since 2012. First-year goalkeeper Isaac Kolaczkowski (Beavercreek, Ohio) delivered an impressive performance in net, recording five saves to secure the shutout.

Connecticut College (6-2-2, 4-2-2 NESCAC) appeared to take the lead in the 53rd minute, but the goal was called back for offside, and the two teams remained deadlocked through the final whistle.

The Bobcats return home Tuesday, Oct. 13, to host the University of Southern Maine in their final non-conference match of the season. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on Russell Street Field.
