Trio of Bobcats earn National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region honors

Zariya Anderson, Sienna Pietrasiewicz, and Emma Yen recognized for their strong seasons

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Junior Bates softball outfielder Zariya Anderson, junior outfielder Sienna Pietrasiewicz, and senior infielder Emma Yen each earned NFCA Third Team All-Region honors for their strong 2026 seasons, as announced Friday by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Anderson (Medina, Minn.) started 34 games in center field for Bates and slashed .253/.312/.354 while ranking third on the team in RBIs (13) and total bases (35). Her nine walks were the second-most on the Bobcats. Anderson's bat heated up down the stretch as she went 2-3 with a run scored, a double, and an RBI against Trinity in game one of a key doubleheader sweep and 2-4 with a double and a run scored in the NESCAC quarterfinal against eventual conference champion Middlebury. She raised her batting average 20 points over the final five games of the season.

Pietrasiewicz (Norton, Mass.) started 35 games in the outfield for the Bobcats and slashed .220/.278/.300 on the season. She hit her first collegiate home run at Williams and like Anderson finished the year on a high note, hitting safely in four of the final six games. She raised her batting average more than 20 points over the final nine games, capping off the year by going 2-4 against Middlebury in the NESCAC quarterfinal. Pietrasiewicz also impressed with error-free defense all season, recording four outfield assists along the way.

Yen (Albertson, N.Y.) finishes her career as a two-time All-Region selection. She started 35 games at third base for the Bobcats and slashed .250/.341/.303 on the season. Yen tied for the team lead with six stolen bases and did not get caught. Her .341 on-base percentage ranked second on the team, as Yen drew eight walks and got hit by three pitches. She ranked third on the Bobcats with 15 runs scored. Like Anderson and Pietrasiewicz, Yen stepped up when it mattered the most, raising her batting average by nearly 30 points over the final 11 games of the season.

The Bobcats finished the season with 17 wins, the third-most in program history.
