BOSTON -- The Bates men's indoor track and field team set a host of personal records and one runner moved up the program's all-time top 10 list Saturday at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, held at Boston University.
Meet Highlights
- Senior captain Ross Tejeda (Milton, Mass.) paced the Bobcats in the mile with a time of 4:08.44 and sophomore Nate Roberts (Summit, N.J.) won his section in 4:09.43, good for sixth on the Bates all-time performance list.
- Junior Callahan Porter (Chester, N.J.) provisionally qualified for New Englands in the mile with his time of 4:21.03.
- Sophomore Max Hoffman (Wellesley, Mass.) set a new personal record in the 3,000 meters, crossing the finish line in 8:21.97 to pace the Bobcats and automatically qualify for New Englands.
- Juniors Jack Crum (Bristol, Vt.) and Miles Logan (Brunswick, Maine) both set personal records in the 3K with their respective times of 8:34.72 and 8:39.55. Logan placed second in his section.
- Sophomore Davis Brown (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) took second in his section in the 800 meters, crossing the finish line in 1:57.81.
The majority of the Bates men's track and field team is competing Sunday at Middlebury's New England Small College Invite, being held in Boston at the TRACK at new balance.
