CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- A pair of Bobcats impressed in the weight throw, highlighting the Gordon Kelly Invitational on Saturday for the Bates men's indoor track and field team.
Meet Highlights
- Sophomore Ryan Glaser (Rockport, Maine) placed second out of 45 competitors in the 35-pound weight throw with his personal-record heave of 55-10.5 (17.03m).
- Sophomore Henry Hood (Hinsdale, N.H.) also set a personal best in the weight throw, taking sixth place with his toss of 49-2.5 (15.00m).
- Senior captain Carson Moellering (Natick, Mass.) set a personal record in the 60-meter hurdles with his time of 9.32 seconds.
- Junior Evan Berthiaume (East Greenwich, R.I.) paced the Bobcats in the 60-meter dash, taking 27th place out of 112 competitors with his time of 7.22 seconds.
- Sophomore Jeff Vidou (Cornish, N.H.) led the Bobcats in the 200-meter dash, setting a personal record with his time of 24.91 seconds.
- Sophomore Benjamin Schutta (Philadelphia, Pa.) led Bates in the long jump, placing 16th out of 51 competitors with his leap of 19-10.25 (6.05m).
The Bobcats are back in action this Saturday at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University at the BU Track & Tennis Center.
