Women's Soccer Secures Key Conference Point With Scoreless Tie against Wesleyan

LEWISTON, Maine – The Bates College women's soccer team earned a crucial point in NESCAC play on Saturday, battling No. 14 nationally ranked Wesleyan University to a hard-fought 0-0 draw at Russell Street Field.

The Bobcats now sit at 3-1-1 overall (0-1-1 NESCAC), while the Cardinals move to 4-0-2 (0-0-2 NESCAC).

Junior goalkeeper Sydney Litney delivered a standout performance between the posts, making seven saves to preserve the clean sheet. The Bobcat defense held strong under pressure, weathering 20 shots from Wesleyan, while Bates did not register a shot on goal.

Bates is back in action on Tuesday, traveling to the University of New England for a non-conference matchup against the Nor'easters. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
