HADLEY, Mass. -- A program record-breaking four Bates men's soccer players have earned All-NESCAC honors, as announced Wednesday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.
Senior captain midfielder
Lane Foushée (Brunswick, Maine), first-year forward
Chris Bianco (East Greenwich, R.I.), sophomore defender
Hewitt Stevenson (Menlo Park, Calif.), and first-year forward
Luke Cunniffe (Windham, Maine) were all named second team All-NESCAC.
Foushée played in 15 matches for Bates, starting in 13 of them on his way to a strong senior season that saw the team captain score three goals and dish out two assists. He scored the eventual game-winning goal at Amherst in one of the biggest wins of the year for the Bobcats.
Bianco also played in 15 matches, starting in 10 as a rookie. He tallied three goals and led the team with four assists. He scored a big equalizer at Trinity and tallied the eventual game-winning goal in a 2-0 victory over Hamilton.
Stevenson anchored a Bates defense that tied for fifth in the NESCAC in allowing only 0.75 goals per match. He started all 16 matches and tallied one goal and two assists on the year, including an assist in a 2-0 win at Bowdoin.
Cunniffe saw action in all 16 matches as a rookie, starting 11. He led the team with 12 points, including a team-high five goals, plus a pair of assists. Cunniffe scored eventual game-winning goals against Saint Joseph's and Husson. He also found the back of the net in NESCAC action in a 2-0 win over Hamilton.
Bianco and Cunniffe are the first rookies in the history of the Bates men's soccer program to earn All-NESCAC honors since the conference first started issuing the awards in 2000.
The previous high watermark for All-NESCAC honors for Bates in one season was three players, most recently achieved in 2005. The Bobcats finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 7-6-3, their most wins since 2019.
