LEWISTON, Maine – The Bates College women's volleyball team closed out its home slate in dominant fashion Wednesday night, sweeping visiting Fisher College 3–0 (25–17, 25–18, 25–8) inside Alumni Gym. The victory capped off Senior Night, as the Bobcats honored

Bella Lomet, and
Kate Arés in a pregame ceremony celebrating their leadership and contributions to the program.
Bates (10–8) hit an impressive .330 as a team and controlled the match from start to finish. First-year
Jaime Bartley-Cohen led the offense with 12 kills on a .417 hitting percentage. Lomet added eight kills (.353), a new career-high, and Arés chipped in six (.364) in the victory . Sophomore
Anaïs Reneaum contributed six kills and a pair of block assists.
Setter
Lauren Croom paced the offense with 16 assists and two aces, while
Nora Gilmer dished out 14 helpers. Defensively, senior libero
Ellie Asada anchored the back line with a team-high 10 digs and two aces. Bartley-Cohen also added eight digs.
The Bobcats built momentum as the night went on, hitting .560 in the final set to seal the sweep and send their seniors out with a decisive home finale victory.
Bates takes to the road this Saturday for a non-conference tri-match vs. Maine Maritime Academy (1:00 p.m.) and host-Mount Holyoke College (3:00 p.m.) in South Hadley, Mass. The Bobcats previously defeated MMA, 3-0, back on Sept. 9 in Alumni Gym.
