Women's Soccer Remains Unblemished as Bobcats Play to 0-0 Tie at Emerson

BOSTON, Mass. -- Bates College women's soccer remains undefeated on the year (2-0-1) as the Bobcats played to a 0-0 stalemate Saturday on the road at Emerson College.

The garnet and white played to a pair of scoreless ties last season, doing so both at Bowdoin College (Sept. 5) and home vs. the University of Southern Maine on Oct. 1.

Emerson, playing to its third tie of year in six overall contests (1-2-3), owned a 12-7 advantage in the shot column with a healthy 7-2 margin on frame. Maddie Khaw (Sr.-Portland, Ore.) paced the home team with four shots (1 SOG). Linae Bezdek (Jr.-Frisco, Texas) was credited with three shots (1 SOG) while Kelsea Laughrey (Fy.-Redondo Beach, Calif.) put both of her efforts on net.

Gwen Jamison (2 shots, 1 SOG) and Adriana Varea (1 shot, 1 SOG) accounted for the Bobcats' only two efforts on target. Ruby Reimann earns the goalkeeping shutout for Bates as the senior secured seven saves in 90:00.

The Bobcats now return to campus as they prepare to host the University of New England Tuesday evening (8:00 p.m.) on Garcelon Field.
