HARTFORD, Conn. -- Bates College women's tennis, playing its second-to-last match of a spring season-opening stretch of 12 road contests, journeyed to Trinity College Saturday where the Bantams beat the Bobcats, 6-3.
Despite the final score, the garnet and white did record a few highlights. Bates' top doubles duo,
Ally Friedman and
Iris Westmoreland (Fy.), landed a victory in the #1 position with an 8-5 defeat of Trinity's Ella Baker and Josephine Kimball.
Friedman also tasted triumph in #1 singles as the senior swept Kimball by the score of 6-3, 6-1.
Lizzie Frekko (Jr.) accounted for the Bobcats' third point with a 6-2, 6-2 win vs. Hellena Trojer at the #5 spot.

Bates closes out the weekend with a Sunday visit to #5 Wesleyan in Middletown, Conn. Start time will be 10:30 a.m.
