WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Playing its second NESCAC match in as many days, Bates College volleyball visited Williams College Saturday where the Bobcats suffered a 3-0 defeat vs. the Ephs.
Falling in straight sets by scores of 25-18, 25-22, and 25-19, Bates has now dropped three contests in a row. Williams moves to 9-5 (2-3 NESCAC) with the win.
Annaliese Fricke (Jr.-Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Chi Obi (Fy.-Richmond Heights, Ohio) paced the victors with 11 kills apiece. Morgan Daetz (So.-Danville, Calif.), with 17 assists and nine digs, fell just short of a double-double performance. Lily Carstens (Fy.-Plano, Texas) followed with 12 helpers for the Ephs.
Skye Higashihara landed seven of the Bobcats' 28 kills while also distributing a team-best 18 assists.
Sami Kim settled 13 digs for the garnet and white.
Bates now returns to campus to host St. Joseph's College this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
