LEWISTON, Me. – Bates College hosted Colby College Saturday afternoon in NESCAC volleyball action with the visiting Mules leaving Alumni Gym with a 3-0 victory (25-9, 25-17, 25-15).
Colby stays perfect in conference play at 8-0 and moves to 19-1 overall. The Bobcats drop under .500 at 9-10 (2-7 NESCAC).
Gabby Grujic supplied a double-double performance for the victors with 17 assists and 10 digs while Brady Moseley paced the Colby offense with 13 kills. Jordan Lee dished 10 helpers off the bench for the Mules.
Sofia Castiglioni topped the home team with her seven kills on the day.
Skye Higashihara, with 12 assists and nine digs, fell just short of double-double status.
Sami Kim collected 10 digs for the garnet and white.
Bates' next action will take place next Saturday when the Bobcats head to Newport, R.I. to play host-Salve Regina (11:00 a.m.) and Lasell University (1:00 p.m.) in a non-conference tri-match.
