LEWISTON, Maine -- A Taylor Feinberg (Sr.-Scarsdale, N.Y.) header goal off a perfectly-placed corner kick from Liam Gerken (Gr.-Pales Verdes, Calif.) at 68:17 proved to be the difference-maker as #3 Tufts escaped with a 1-0 NESCAC men's soccer road win over Bates College.
The Jumbos remain unbeaten on the year at 9-0-2 (6-0-1 NESCAC) while the Bobcats (6-5-1, 2-4-1 NESCAC) drop a third-straight decision.
Despite the lack of offense, Tufts owned a 10-3 advantage in the shot column (5-1 on frame). Nikola Antic (Jr.-Waltham, Mass.) earned the win in net for the Jumbos with one save in 90:00 of action.
George Nassar made four saves in a complete-game performance for the garnet and white.
Bates will remain idle until next Saturday when the Bobcats travel to Connecticut College for a 2:30 p.m. conference contest.
