HADLEY, Mass. -- Bates sophomore Alec Spiro is the NESCAC Men's Squash Performer of the Week, announced Tuesday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.

Spiro (Portland, Ore.) went undefeated and did not even drop a game at the No.1 position against Middlebury, MIT, and Amherst. Overall, Spiro is 7-5 on the season while competing each match against the best player opponents have to offer. 

This is Spiro's first NESCAC Men's Squash Performer of the Week award and the first for the Bobcats since Omar Attia '21 earned NESCAC Performer of the Week honors on Nov. 19, 2018. 

The No. 18 nationally ranked Bobcats stand at 9-4 on the season and host No. 21 Colby Wednesday at 7pm.
