Williamstown, Mass. - Bates College women's soccer still seeks its first victory in NESCAC play as the Bobcats, on the road vs. Williams College, dropped a 2-0 decision Saturday vs. the Ephs.

After a scoreless first half, Sam Phan (Belmont, Calif.) put Williams on the board as the junior poured in her second of the season in the 73rd minute (72:43). Tess Belnap (Arlington, Vt.) sealed the home win for the Ephs (2-2, 1-1 NESCAC) when the senior sent in her first on the year with only 1:33 (88:27) remaining in the contest.

Williams peppered the Bates' frame, finishing with a 20-5 shot advantage (12-0 on goal). Despite the result, first-year netminder, Samantha Bunar (Lynnfield, Mass.), secured a season-high 10 saves in the complete-game effort. for the visitors. 

Senior captain, Elizabeth Patrick (Ipswich, Mass.), paced the Bobcats' offense with four shots on the day.

Bates (2-2, 0-2 NESCAC) returns to campus where they will host the University of New England (4-2) Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. on Garcelon Field.
