NEW GLOUCESTER, Maine -- Bates men's cross country posted five top-10 finishers in its annual Bates Invitational hosted at Pineland Farms Saturday as the Bobcats defeated Tufts University 24-31 in the dual meet.
Ned Farrington (Cohassett, Mass.) (25.37.1),
Victor Kering (Eldoret, Kenya) (25:43.2), and
Eli Boesch Dining (Concord, N.H.) (26:19.5) took 2nd through 4th place, respectively, for the Bobcats on the 8K course.
Andrew Mottur (Rumford, R.I.) (26:45.3) and
Sam Kartsonis (Harriton, Pa.) (26:46.2) also enjoyed top-10 performances.
Colin Thoman (New York, N.Y.) (27:11.6),
Henry Welch (Istanbul, Turkey) (27:27.8),
Owen Glover (Andover, Mass.) (27:29.6),
Timothy O'Neill (New York, N.Y.) (20:36.5), and
Clem Taylor-Roth (Juneau, Alaska (27:47.6) were some of the other top performers for Bates.
The Bobcats will remain idle until Saturday, October 1 when the garnet and white competes in the Maine State Meet (hosted by Husson University) at Saxl Park in Bangor, Maine.
