Middletown, Conn. - Bates College closed out its weekend away from home Sunday with a visit to Wesleyan University for NESCAC women' soccer action. The host-Cardinals proceeded to shut out the Bobcats, 3-0.

Dani Milovanov (Sr.-Milford, Conn.) and Grace Devanny (Sr.-Concord, N.H.) each netted their fourth goals of the season for the eventual victors with first-half tallies at 11:29 and 33:00, respectively. Andrea Chiappetti (Jr.-Scottsdale, Ariz.) added the third-and-final scoring effort in the 68th minute (67:41).

Wesleyan (5-4-2, 3-3-1 NESCAC) out-shot its guest, 14-5, with a 9-3 surplus on frame. Sarah Hammond (Gr.-Canton, Mich.), recorded three saves in her 78:25 in the Cardinals' cage to earn the victory. Samantha Bunar (Fy.-Lynnfield, Mass.) and Ruby Reimann (So.-Oak Bluffs, Mass.) split equal time in net for Bates (45:00 each). Bunar gathered four saves while Reimann grabbed two of her own.

The Bobcats (3-6-2, 0-5-2 NESCAC) return to campus where they will next take the pitch on Saturday vs. #18 Tufts. Start time is slated for 12:00 p.m. on Garcelon Field as the garnet and white celebrate Senior Day prior to the opening whistle.
