Clinton, N.Y.- Bates College opened NESCAC weekend volleyball action Friday night as the Bobcats finished on the wrong end of a 3-0 decision at Hamilton College.
The host-Continentals cruised to the conference victory, besting the Bobcats by scores of 25-17, 25-10, and 25-18. The Bobcats (5-10), coming off Tuesday night's five-set marathon home win vs. St. Joseph's College (ME), continue to search for their first NESCAC triumph, falling to 0-7 with the setback.
Highlights for Bates included a five-kill, nine-dig performance by
Ami Evans (Fy.-Honolulu, Hawaii) and an 11-dig effort from
Ellie Asada (Fy.-Honolulu, Hawaii).
Emma Eide (Jr.-Ramsey, N.J.) dished 14 assists while
Alyssa Lowther (So.-Wyckoff, N.J.) returned to the lineup with four kills.
Hamilton improves to 8-5 (3-4 NESCAC) after the win.
The garnet and white gets right back at it on Saturday afternoon with a 2:00 p.m. visit to Middlebury another NESCAC tilt.
