Story Links

Lewiston, Maine (Alumni Gym) - Bates College continues to seek its first taste of a conference triumph this autumn as the Bobcats, hosting #16 Wesleyan University, dropped a 3-0 decision (25-16, 25-14, 25-8) to the Cardinals in NESCAC women's volleyball action.

Wesleyan, now a perfect 4-0 in conference play, improves to 12-1 overall on the season. Bates suffers its fourth-straight setback, slipping to 4-7 (0-5 NESCAC) on the year.

Maya Lopansri (So.-Park City, Utah) and Grace Dennis (Sr.-Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) split the setting duties for Wesleyan, dishing 19 and 10 assists, respectively. Jenna Otalola (Gr.-San Diego, Calif.) topped all players with 13 digs.
