Box Score MYSTIC, CONN.—The Bates women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 victory over host Connecticut College today at Mystic Indoor Sports Club.
The Bobcats are now 2-1 overall and 2-1 in NESCAC action, while the Camels fall to 0-5 overall and 0-4 in the NESCAC.
Sophomores
Joanna Atwater and
Alexandra D'Aquino downed their Camel opponents 8-0 at No. 2 doubles for the first Bates point of the day. Sophomore

Salma Alsikafi won by default at the No. 3, and seniors
Hannah Sweeney and
Haley Washington earned an 8-5 victory at the top doubles spot.
In singles action, Scott gave the Bobcats a 4-0 advantage with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 3. D'Aquino clinched the victory with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at No. 4. Sweeney logged a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 1, and Atwater followed with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 2. Sophomore
Abigail Zerbey won by default at No. 6, and Washington blanked her Camel opponent 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5.
The Bobcats are back in action on Saturday, May 1, when they travel to play Colby.
