Box Score LEWISTON, Maine – The Bates men's tennis team played its first home match since Oct. 13, 2019, hosting Tufts at Wallach Tennis Center today. The Jumbos (3-0, 3-0 NESCAC) earned an 8-1 victory.
The Bobcat doubles team of senior
Alex Kennedy and first-year
Alexander Gujarathi earned a victory at No. 3 doubles, topping their Tufts opponents 8-6.
The Bates duo of sophomore
Nick Forester and first-year
Nikesh Desai were edged 8-7 at No. 2 doubles. The Jumbo pair of Borris Sorkin and Josh Belandres won at the top doubles spot 2-1 after sophomores
Leo Kupferman and
Cameron Kania were forced to retire. Tufts swept singles action.
The Bobcats (1-1, 1-1 NESCAC) will be back on the courts tomorrow, Sunday, April 25, when they travel to take on Connecticut College at 2 p.m.
