Sophomore Seneca Moore broke the Bates men's track and field record in the 110-meter hurdles to highlight the New England Division III Outdoor Championships as the Bobcats took sixth place out of 36 schools Friday and Saturday at Nitchman Track.

Moore made the final of the 110-meter hurdles with his prelims time of 14.85 seconds, sixth in the field. Then he really turned on the jets, racing to victory in the final in 14.54 seconds. His winning time breaks the previous Bates record of 14.68 seconds, set by Jarret McKallagat '14 in 2014, and ranks 32nd in the country this season.
