Senior Ed Bogdanovich (Portland, Maine) led Bates with his third straight double-double, with 12 points and 13 rebounds, in the Bates men's basketball team's 45-43 loss on Sunday to Rhode Island College, an NCAA Tournament team for the past six years in a row. Bogdanovich also had a career-high three blocked shots in the game.

On Tuesday, the Bobcats faced the University of Southern Maine in a matchup of 2-0 teams. The visiting Huskies prevailed 71-66, despite Bogdanovich's 17 points and 10 rebounds.

The 6-foot-6 center entered this week leading the Bobcats in scoring and rebounding, with 16.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, ranking fourth in the NESCAC in scoring and tying for third in the league in rebounding. Bogdanovich also was shooting at a team-high .540 clip on field goal attempts.
