Senior guard Mark Brust keyed an impressive 2-1 week for the Bates men's basketball team, as the Bobcats routed Husson, lost at 10th-ranked Amherst and then scored a crucial 72-55 NESCAC win at Trinity on Saturday.

Brust (Duxbury, Mass.) averaged a team-best 15.0 points with 5.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game while shooting 53.3 percent from the field (16/30), 60% from beyond the three-point arc (3/5) and 76.9% at the free throw line (10/13).

In Bates' 81-52 win over 12-5 Husson, Brust scored his 900th career point en route to 11 points and nine rebounds. He poured in 18 points and dished out five assists at Amherst, then scored a game-high 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting in the win at Trinity, Bates' first on the Bantams' home court since 1956.

This Saturday, the Bobcats take on Hamilton at 5pm in what will be senior night for Brust and teammates Ed Bogdanovich (Portland, Maine), Taylor Gartley (Rockport, Maine) and John Murphy (Yarmouth, Maine).
