Sophomore Sara Daher (Marblehead, Mass.) clinched seven All-American awards during the four day NCAA Division III Championships held in Shenandoah, Texas last week. Daher is now an 11-time All-American -- the most such awards for any athlete in Bates history behind only women's track and field 16-time All-American Keelin Godsey '06.

Highlights from the weekend for Daher include a school record-setting performance in the 200 IM (2:02.15) where she went on to finish eighth overall, anchoring the 200 freestyle relay to a 14th place finish, and placing sixth in the 400 IM trials. Daher swam the sixth-fastest preliminary time (4:24.33), then placed sixth in the final at 4:24.74.  She also broke her own school record in the 200 back twice, setting a new mark of 0.59 seconds in the consolation finals, where she finished 12th overall.

The sophomore swimmer turned in All-American performances in: 200 Individual Medley; 400 Individual Medley; 200 Backstroke; 200 Free Relay; 400 Free Relay; 800 Free Relay; 400 Medley Relay.
