Sophomore guard Mia Roy broke out with 24 points and seven steals, both career highs, to lead the Bates women's basketball team to its second straight road victory, 58-41 at Norwich University on Wednesday.

Roy (Bedford, N.H.) shot 9-for-18 from the field, 2-4 from three-point distance and 4-5 at the free throw line to surpass her previous career high of 22 points, set against Saint Joseph's (Me.) on Dec. 1, 2018. It was also her season high by nine points. Roy's seven steals were four more than her previous career high and her five rebounds were also a career best.

Roy led all scorers in the game and was the only Bobcat in double figures.

Then on Sunday, Roy tallied 14 points, four rebounds and two steals in the women's basketball team's 65-56 win over Wesleyan in the NESCAC opener for Bates.
