Kennedy nearly willed the Bates women's basketball team to victory in the Sweet 16 on Friday against No. 7 nationally ranked Wartburg. She scored a game-high 17 points on 8-16 shooting and shared the team-lead in rebounds with six. Kennedy also blocked two shots and recorded two steals. She scored the final seven points of the game for Bates, giving them the lead with 1:15 remaining and a three-point edge with 23 seconds left, before Wartburg rallied to win by one.
