This is Marquette's fourth season as an assistant coach for the Bates women's basketball program. She comes to Bates from Susquehanna University where she served as an assistant coach in 2015-2016.Â
At Susquehanna, Marquette was in charge of organizing their recruiting database, identifying academically qualified talented players that fit into their style of play, and making initial contacts to get prospects on campus.
Marquette also created opponent scouting reports and led film sessions. She assisted with game planning, especially in regards to the team's defensive strategy.Â
Marquette coached a 2016 First Team All Landmark selection and a 2016 Second Team All Landmark selection as well as the Landmark Conference's leader in 3 pointers made last season at Susquehanna.
After graduating from Oberlin College in 2015, Marquette coached at the Stanford University Women's Basketball Camp over the summer.Â
She was a two-year captain, a four-year starter, and a three-time first team All-Conference selection at Oberlin. The 2015 NCAC Player of the Year, Marquette is the college's career leader in scoring, rebounding, and free throw percentage.
