Career: One of four winners of the Milton L. Lindholm Scholar-Athlete Award, going to the male and female varsity letter-winning athletes with the highest cumulative grade point averages.... One of 92 Senior Scholar Award-winners, who have participated in varsity sports for four years and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better.
2024: Team captain.... Selected to the College Sports Communicators Softball Academic All-District® Team.... NESCAC Spring All-Academic selection.... Named to the NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team.... Started all 31 games as a senior for the Bobcats.... Slashed .304/.396/.418 on the season, going 24-79 at the plate with six runs scored, seven doubles, a triple, 14 RBIs, and seven walks.... Drove in a run in a 4-0 win over Washington and Jefferson (March 18).... Went 1-2 with a double against Smith (March 21).... 2021: Saw action in 11 games, starting 10 as a first-year in an abbreviated season for the Bobcats.... Went 6-28 at the plate and finished with a .371 OBP.... Career/Life aspirations: I'm currently applying for a Fulbright Scholarship, where I would be teaching in Botswana for a year. After my Fulbright, I will be attending law school. My focus after law school would be in special education law and public interest advocacy.
Sports memory: It's a tie between hitting a walk-off during our home game versus Bowdoin or hitting my first collegiate home run against Colby.
Goals for upcoming year: My goal for Bates Softball is to come out on top in CBB play and qualify for playoffs!
Why Bates? There was not much that differentiated Bates from the other schools I was looking at, so what made me decide to chose Bates in the end was the people. I found that the students and professors at Bates were some of the kindest and most interesting, period, I had ever interacted with. I loved how friendly Batesies were and knew that I wanted to be a part of that culture.
