Biography

2025: Named honorable mention All-New England by the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.... Named to the College Sports Communicators Men's At-Large Academic All-District® Team.... NESCAC Spring All-Academic selection.... More than just a face-off specialist for the Bobcats, tallying four goals (with a shots-on-goal percentage of .765) and dishing out an assist.... Saw action in all 16 games, starting 15 and winning 210 faceoffs in 329 chances, good for a face-off percentage of .638.... Schmidt's percentage was the second-best in the NESCAC.... Unlike some of his peers, Schmidt won the faceoffs himself a lot of the time, as he led the NESCAC with 7.69 ground balls per game.... Some of Schmidt's top performances included.... Winning 20-22 faceoffs while recording 12 ground balls in a 12-9 win over Franklin & Marshall (Feb. 19).... Scoring a goal, recording 12 ground balls, and winning 20-23 faceoffs in a 14-8 win over Hamilton (March 1).... And scoring a goal while recording a season-high 15 ground balls and winning a season-high 21 faceoffs in a 14-10 win over Connecticut College (April 5).... Schmidt also won the majority of his faceoffs (13-22) against No. 1 nationally ranked Tufts (April 9).

2024: Started all 14 games and led the Bobcats with 83 ground balls as a rookie.... Won 173-356 faceoffs for a win percentage of .486 on the season.... Won a season-high 19-28 faceoffs, dished out an assist and recorded a season-high 12 ground balls in a 16-15 win over Emerson (Feb. 21).... Won 10-17 faceoffs and recorded four ground balls at Skidmore (Feb. 25).... Won 13-26 faceoffs and recorded seven ground balls at Hamilton (March 2).... Won 11-18 faceoffs and recorded six ground balls in a 16-8 win over Maine Maritime Academy (March 20).... Won 14-28 faceoffs and recorded four ground balls against Wesleyan (March 23).... Won 12-23 faceoffs and recorded eight ground balls against Trinity (March 30).... Won 16-23 faceoffs and recorded six ground balls against Connecticut College (April 6).... Scored a goal, won 12 faceoffs, and recorded seven ground balls against Tufts (April 10).

Personal: 2023 graduate of Seattle (Wash.) Preparatory School where he competed in lacrosse, basketball, and football ... USA All-American and Adrenaline All-American in lacrosse, First-Team All-League in lacrosse and second team in football, Team MVP in lacrosse, Most Inspirational Award.

A selfless service of the team and community, uplifting and pushing everyone around them to continually strive for the best version of themselves while holding the standard of accountability, hard work, and success.

What experience—big or small—has made a surprising impact on you?
One big blessing to be surrounded by the most supportive family & friends who push me to levels I never believed possible, and are the reason I am where I am today.

I love Greek mythology.
