A member of the 2025-26 NESCAC Women's Basketball Coaching Staff of the Year, Seltzer helped guide the Bobcats to the most wins in one season in program history. The Bobcats also captured the program's second NESCAC championship and advanced to the "Sweet 16" of the NCAA tournament for the fourth time in team history.

Originally from Ellsworth, Maine, Seltzer played college basketball at Saint Anselm in New Hampshire. He graduated in 2002 with a degree in Business Administration. Seltzer has PES and CES certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Prior to his arrival at Bates in 2013, Seltzer served as an assistant men's basketball coach at the University of Southern Maine for three seasons and at Falmouth High School for two.
