Kate DeZenzo

Katelyn DeZenzo joined the Bates sports medicine staff as the Senior Certified Athletic Trainer in July of 2021. 

DeZenzo comes to Bates after working for six years at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts. She was hired there in 2015 as an athletic trainer, working primarily with the Harvard-Radcliffe rowing programs. In 2019 DeZenzo was promoted to Associate Director of Sports Medicine and began working with the women's hockey and women's tennis programs.

Prior to her time at Harvard, DeZenzo served as Assistant Head Athletic Trainer at Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont, from 2013-2015. While there she served as the primary athletic trainer for a variety of athletic programs. 

DeZenzo worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer from 2011-2013 while earning her master's degree in human physiology from the University of Oregon. She graduated with her bachelor's degree in athletic training from the University of Maine in 2011. 

A native of Bowdoin, Maine, DeZenzo is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. She currently resides in Bowdoin with her husband, Steve, their son and their two dogs.
