Biography

2008: Started in all eight gamesfor the Bobcats on the defensive line.... Led the team inquarterback sacks with 2.5.... Made 28 tackles on the season,including six in a loss against Williams on October 4.... Rankedfourth on the team in tackles for a loss with5.0.

2007: Started all eight games atdefensive tackle.... Totaled 24 tackles.... Had a season-high sixtackles against Colby and Bowdoin in late October and earlyNovember, respectively.

Other Bates Activities: Also a member andcaptain of the Bates men’s indoor and outdoor track and fieldteams, McNeil finished eighth in the hammer throw at the 2009 NCAADivision III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, earning thesecond All-America honor of his career, with a top distance of 172feet and 11 inches. It was the second career All-America award forMcNeil, who won his first in 2008 by placing fifth in the hammer atoutdoor nationals.

High School: National Honor Society Member....Honor Student.... Men’s Choir.... All-Conference in footballand track and field.... Captain of track team.
