2025 marks Portu’s first year with the Bobcats where he will be working with the defensive line.
In the spring of 2025, Portu coached overseas in Poland with the Lowlanders Bialystok of the Polish Football League. Lowlanders' defense notched top-three marks in points-per-game and total yards-per-game (18.1 & 211.7).
In the Fall of 2024, Portu also coached at the collegiate level where he served as Defensive Coordinator for New England College in its inaugural football season, helping lead the Pilgrims to a 4-3 record. He also coached for Norwich University in 2022 and 2023, where his defensive backs ranked 29th nationally in pass yards allowed (154.6 ypg) and second in
the conference (NEWMAC) in turnovers (12) in consecutive years.
Coach Portu earned his bachelor's degree in politics & communications at Saint Anselm\ College in Manchester, N.H.
He now resides in nearby Auburn.
