What does leadership mean to you?
Leadership is being able to influence and inspire others for the greater good of a group
or team.

What experience—big or small—has made a surprising impact on you?
The death of my grandfather. It really made me appreciate and value life and the other people around me. You really never know how much time you have left with them.

What’s a failure or setback that taught you something valuable?
Getting sick and hurting my wrist causing me to miss half of my senior baseball season. This taught me to appreciate every opportunity and moment I’ve been blessed with and not take it for granted because it can be stripped away in a second.

What’s a value or principle you try to live by?
Honesty, respect and accountability. They guide how I treat others and approach challenges.

What’s something about you that might surprise people?
I’m a lifeguard.
