Career: Second-most prolific passer in Bates history, with 4,596 career passing yards.... Generated 6,459 yards of total offense during his time as a Bobcat.

2021: Second Team All-NESCAC at Quarterback.... Became the first Bobcat in program history to compete in the Dream Bowl, a postseason senior All-Star game for small school standouts.... Broke Bates' single-season records for total offense (2,063) and passing yards (1,680).... In Week 3, Costa led Bates to a 33-10 win at Tufts, the Bobcats' first victory over the Jumbos since 2013, accounting for 367 yards of offense (254 yards passing, 113 rushing) and four touchdowns (three passing, one rushing).... His performance earned him Division II/III Gold Helmet by the New England Football Writers that week.... In what would be his final game with the Bobcats in Week 8, Costa threw four touchdown passes in the second half as Bates defeated Bowdoin 25-24, twice overcoming a 10-plus-point deficit in the half. 

2020: No season due to COVID-19 pandemic.

2019: Started in eight games at quarterback for the Bobcats.... Broke the program record for total yards in a season, tallying 1,739 (a team-high 337 on the ground and a team-high 1,402 through the air).... Competed 120-215 passes on the season and threw for 11 touchdowns.... Carried the ball 74 times, averaging 4.6 yards per carry, with two touchdowns on the ground.... Completed a season-high 23 passes on 38 attempts for 177 yards and a touchdown, adding 34 yards on the ground and a touchdown against Amherst (Sept. 14).... Completed 19-28 passes (season-best 67.9% completion percentage) for 200 yards and a touchdown, adding eight carries for 62 yards against Tufts (Oct. 5).... Completed 16-29 passes for 241 yards and carried the ball eight times for a season-high 73 yards and a touchdown against Williams (Oct. 19).... Completed 19-35 passes for a season-high 268 yards and two touchdowns at Colby (Oct. 26).... Completed 9-17 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns, adding eight carries for 63 yards in a 30-5 win over Bowdoin (Nov. 2).... Completed 16-30 passes for 191 yards and a season-high four touchdowns, adding 17 carries for 72 yards in a 26-21 win over Hamilton (Nov. 9). 

2018: Started at quarterback for Bates in every game before a season-ending injury against Colby.... Completed 78-159 passes for 688 yards and five touchdowns on the season.... Ran the ball 90 times for 327 yards and two touchdowns.... Completed a season-high 57.1% of his passes (12-21) and ran the ball 16 times for 44 yards and a touchdown against Amherst (Sept. 15).... Completed a season-high 16 passes in 30 attempts (53.3%) and threw a touchdown pass at Tufts (Sept. 29).... Threw for 99 yards and ran for 59 yards, averaging 5.9 yards per carry against Williams (Oct. 6).... Tossed a touchdown pass against Wesleyan (Oct. 13).... Completed 11-22 passes for a season-high 177 yards and three touchdowns and ran the ball 13 times for a season-high 111 yards at Middlebury (Oct. 20).... Ran the ball eight times for 34 yards and a touchdown against Colby in the snow (Oct. 27). 

2017: Winner of the team's "Garnet Gridder" (Offensive MVP) award.... Saw action in eight games, starting the final six at quarterback as a first-year.... Completed 65-136 passes for 826 yards and six touchdowns on the season.... Carried the ball 132 times for 821 yards and four touchdowns.... Ran the ball 16 times for 97 yards and a touchdown to go along with a season-high 14 completions for 134 yards against Tufts (Sept. 30).... Threw for 109 yards and tallied his first career touchdown pass at Williams (Oct. 7).... Ran 18 times for 170 yards (season-best 9.4 yards per carry) and a touchdown to go along with 97 passing yards and a touchdown at Wesleyan (Oct. 14).... Carried the ball 28 times for 131 yards and completed 13 passes for 141 yards and a pair of touchdowns against Middlebury (Oct. 21).... Ran the ball 26 times for 155 yards and a touchdown to go along with 11 completions for 136 yards and a touchdown in Bates' 27-24 win at Colby (Oct. 28).... Ran 20 times for a season-high 171 yards and a touchdown in Bates' 24-17 win over Bowdoin (Nov. 4).... Completed 13 of 22 passes (season-best 59.1% completion percentage) for a season-high 186 yards and a touchdown at Hamilton (Nov. 11).
