Biography

2013: Earned the team's Robert P. Schmidt Award for demonstrating physical and mental courage.... Played in six games with five starts despite battling injury.... Notched 17 tackles (10 solo) including 3.5 for loss on the season.... Recorded a half sack, a fumble recovery, and a quarterback hurry vs. Tufts (Sept. 28).

2012: Started all eight games for Bates at defensive tackle, recording 13 tackles (11 solo), including 2.5 tackles for a loss and one sack.... Also recorded two quarterback hurries, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.... Head coach Mark Harriman says Comstock has "all-conference ability.... he's always been a good player, but now he has added the size and strength to become an All-NESCAC player."

2011: Played in all eight games on the defensive line, including a start in Week 1 against Amherst.

2010: Saw action in one game, in Week 1 against Amherst.

High School: Two-time New Hampshire Division 3 state champion.... First Team All-State defense.... Varsity letters in football, alpine skiing and lacrosse.
